For as long as I can remember I’ve always been confused by the words on our currency, “This note is legal tender for all debts public and private” as I always thought, “Well, if I am buying this, isn’t it mine? Why is it a debt? The following article explains it well and if it doesn’t make you scared, it should.

The sad part is that the average Joe has no clue how our current fiat currency monetary system works or exactly what “money” is. The average Joe doesn’t even know that the Federal Reserve is neither Federal or a Reserve and that it it a conglomeration of private banks that lend money, at interest (which you get to pay via federal taxes) and it totally against Section 8 of the Constitution of the United States which specifically states, “The Congress shall have power to borrow money on the credit of the United States and…… to coin money, regulate the value thereof, and of foreign coin, and fix the standards of weights and measures.” Today, and for the last 97 years, we have not had the power to coin money and have only borrowed it from this private institution at interest which, when we need to borrow money, they just input it into the computer and, poof, money is made out of thin air and we have to pay it back!

Until recently I didn’t understand this system either. Today I know better and I hope you will too after you read the article.

The Nature of Money

By Alfred Adask

Over 200 years ago, Thomas Jefferson warned, “I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation the banks and the corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.”

Today, of course, we have a private bank (the Federal Reserve) that does control the issue of our currency (fiat, paper & digital dollars). We are subject to inflation (mostly) but possibly deflation (soon). And our economy is teetering on the edge of calamity.

But the average American will nevertheless dismiss Jefferson’s warning as curious, but irrelevant or even hyperbolic. After all, although we have a central (private) bank that issues our currency, where’s the harm? We still have our homes and property, right? Our children have not awakened “homeless” on the continent our forefathers conquered, right? Right?

Wrong.

To understand Jefferson’s warning on the dangers of private banks issuing a private currency, you must understand the nature of money. The vast majority of Americans view “money” as a merely mathematical device for “keeping score”; that money is only about adding and subtracting and the more you have, the better off you are.

Such people are dangerously ignorant in that they don’t realize that Jefferson’s warning is no longer a prediction, but already half true. Americans have already lost their property (and liberty) to the private bank that issues our currency—but the American people have not yet “awakened” to that loss.

• 15 years ago, a different “Jefferson” occupied The White House—William Jefferson Clinton. Unlike the first “Jefferson,” Bill Clinton was not held in high esteem. One of Clinton’s critics distributed thousands of “$6 Bills” that looked a lot like paper dollars. These “$6 Bills” had a picture of Bill Clinton on one side and Monica Lewinsky on the other, plus a half dozen lewd jokes in fine print. Most people knew instantly that these “$6 Bills” were just jokes.

But some did not.

I had a friend who’d buy hot dogs and cokes from 7-11 convenience stores during lunch hour, when the clerks (foreign immigrants) were busy. My friend tendered a “$6 Bill” to each of the overworked clerks. All the clerks accepted the “$6 Bills” and gave change. The clerks’ only problem was trying to figure out which slot in the cash register tray should hold the $6 Bills: The slot for $1s, $5s, $10s, or $20s? All the clerks chose to place the $6 Bills under the cash tray with the $100s.

This anecdote makes some people wince (the hard working clerks undoubtedly had to pay for the $6 Bills out of their wages). Other people grin (damn foreigners are so freakin’ dumb they don’t even know real money when they see it).

But the truth is that, when it comes to money, at least 99.99% of Americans are just about as dumb as the clerks who accepted the $6 Bills.

Here’s a little test to see whether you’re among the 99.99% ignorant or the 0.01% informed:

You go to the grocery store; the clerk rings up $18.75 worth of groceries; you tender a $20 bill; the clerk gives you $1.25 change and a receipt; you leave the store with the groceries and drive home.

Q: Did you pay for those groceries?

A: Yes ___ or No ___ (check one).

If you answered Yes (that you did, indeed, “pay” for those groceries), you’d be dumb. In fact, you be just about as dumb as those clerks who accepted “$6 Bills”.

Don’t feel too bad. You may be dumb (actually, ignorant) but you’re not alone. At least 99.99% of Americans would answer just as you did.

On the other hand, if you answered No, you are the one man or woman in 10,000—maybe more—who understands that you did not actually “pay” for the groceries, but instead merely “discharged” your debt.

To “pay” a debt means to “extinguish” that debt. Debts are paid/extinguished when you tender an asset such as lawful money (gold and silver coin) to compensate for and eliminate the debt.

It’s like adding positive and negative numbers. The debt, say $18.75 at the grocery store, is a negative number. The object is to extinguish or “zero out” the negative number (pay the debt) by tendering a positive number of equal magnitude. Mathematically, the formula for paying debts is something like “Debt + Payment = Zero”. I.e.,

-$18.75 (the debt due)

+ $18.75 (the tender of an asset)

Zero (debt extinguished)

On the other hand, to “discharge” a debt means merely to “promise to pay” the debt. Debts are “discharged” when you tender “legal tender”, paper or digital dollars and other fiat currencies. Debts are “discharged” with IOUs—a promise to pay (someday in the future, with lawful money or some other asset) rather than the actual payment of an asset, today.

For example, suppose you tendered a check for $18.75 to the grocery clerk and that check later bounced. Suppose you wrote a second check for $18.75 and persuaded the grocery store to accept your second check as “payment” for your first NSF check.

Your first and second checks were never anything more than promises to pay; they weren’t assets; only debt-instruments. You’d be temporarily discharging your first debt (the bounced check/promise to pay) with another rubber check (2nd promise to pay). But you wouldn’t be paying anything.

It’s fundamental law for thousands of years that you can’t actually pay a debt by tendering another debt. Yes, a creditor in a particular transaction may agree to accept a debt instrument as if it were a payment, but that new debt instrument will only “discharge” or replace the original debt. That is, the debt instrument would only promise to pay the original debt by issuing a “new and improved” debt.

Mathematically, the process of discharging debts might look something like this:

-$18.75 (debt due from debtor John Doe who purchased groceries)

-$18.75 (FRNs; a debt due from Federal Reserve)

-$18.75 (John Doe’s debt is still unpaid but discharged by debt instruments from the Federal Reserve). Confusing? You bet.

Too improbable to be true? Not necessarily.

The process of discharging debt isn’t so confusing once you recognize: 1) all Federal Reserve Notes (FRNs) are debt-instruments—not assets; and 2) it’s a simple matter of fact that you can’t actually pay a debt with another debt (another promise to pay). You can only pay debts with assets (like gold or silver).

The discharge process essentially allows you to walk out of the grocery store with the groceries because the grocer agreed to accept an IOU (promise to pay) from the Federal Reserve rather than an actual payment (tender of an asset) from you.

OK-so what? Isn’t this much ado about nothing? You got the groceries. You’ll be eating steak for tonight’s dinner. What difference does it make if the debt for your groceries was “paid” or “discharged”?

The differences are admittedly almost invisible, but they are nevertheless enormous.

First, when you discharge your debts by tendering a debt instrument, the debt can’t actually be paid. That means that while the debt may have been discharged, you are still, technically, a debtor. In law, debtors have little or no rights. It’s dangerous to appear in court as a debtor.

Second, remember the new car you purchased 20 years ago? Pretty snazzy, hmm? Remember how you impressed the neighbors? Great memories, hmm?

That car may be long gone. In fact, by now it may have been recycled into scrap metal.

But there’s a small problem. Technically, you never actually paid for that car. And because you never paid for that car, you never acquired legal title (actual ownership) to the car. Ohh, by discharging your auto debt with debt instruments (legal tender; FRNs), you may have acquired equitable title (the right to use the vehicle much like a renter acquires the equitable right to use an apartment), but you never acquired legal title to “your” car. You never actually “owned” your car any more than a renter comes to own his apartment.

As a result, you could “transfer” your equitable title to another person, but you could not actually “sell” the legal title to “your” car because you never acquired it in the first place; at least not for long.

What is the legal title your car?

A: The Manufacturer’s Statement of Origin (MSO) provided to all new car purchasers.

But what do all new car purchasers do with the MSO/legal title? As part of the original purchase transaction on a new car, the purchasers donate the MSO to the state gov-co. The state gov-co then issues each purchaser a license plate and registration decal to hang on the car.

What do the license plate and registration indicate?

A: That the state gov-co holds legal title to the car; that the state gov-co is the true owner and is thus entitled to not only dispose of the vehicle however it sees fit but also to regulate the use of that vehicle; that the driver is a debtor who, at best, holds only an equitable title; a right to use the vehicle, subject to whatever rules and regulations that may be imposed by the vehicle’s actual owner, the state gov-co.

Why can the gov-co insist that you have insurance on “your” vehicle before you can legally drive it? After all, if you’re a careful driver and never have any accidents, then you’ve never committed a common law offense sufficient to cause you to pay someone else for such injuries. So why do you have to pay for insurance every month? Why can the state gov-co subject you to a very handsome fine if they catch you driving “your” car without insurance?

A: Because it’s not your car. You don’t own it. It’s their (the state’s) car.

Yes, you might have equitable title (right to use) the vehicle, but you don’t have legal title because you never actually paid for the car with lawful money—you just discharged your debt with FRNs. As a result, the state gov-co holds legal title to “your” car and as the true “owner,” the state gov-co can impose whatever rules and regulations it likes on those who “use” the gov-co’s vehicles.

If the gov-co declares that you must have insurance as a conditional prerequisite for driving its vehicle, you must have insurance. If the gov-co/owner declares that you must have a driver’s license before you can legally drive its car, you must have a DL. If the gov-co/owner declares that you and your passengers must fasten your seatbelts, you’d better “click-it”.

If you fail to observe any of the rules and regulations imposed by the gov-co that owns legal title to “your” vehicle, you’ll be ticketed and fined. If you persist in ignoring the gov-co’/owner’s rules and regulations, the gov-co can seize its vehicle or even put you in the slammer.

How can those traffic tickets be issued in the “land of the free”? Shouldn’t you be free to drive “your” car however you like, so long as you don’t injure anyone else?

A: Yes. Absolutely. If it were your car, that would be true even today.

But, today, you are not free to drive your car however you like. Why? Because it’s not your car. While you may hold equitable title to the car, you do not hold legal title. The state gov-co holds legal title. Therefore, it’s not your car, it’s the state gov-co’s. And the state can regulate the use of its car any way it likes.

• A nearly identical argument can be made concerning your home. How long have you been paying on your mortgage? Five years? Fifteen? Twenty-five?

A: Technically, you have never actually paid on your mortgage so long as you were merely discharging that debt with intrinsically-worthless fiat currency (FRNs).

How long before your mortgage is paid off and you own “your” house free and clear? Five years? Fifteen? Twenty-five?

A: So long as you merely discharge your mortgage with debt instruments, you will never actually “pay off” or own “your” home.

I.e., because you’ve merely discharged your debt with fiat currency, you’ll never actually acquire and own legal title to “your” home. “Your” home will never actually be “your castle”. Sure, you may acquire equitable title to use “your” home. Yes, you may be able to “sell” (actually, “transfer”) your equitable title to another purchaser. You might even be able to make a “profit” when you do so. But you will never actually “own” legal title to “your” house.

Instead, you’ll spend your life as an unwitting and blissfully ignorant occupant on the “massa’s” land and in the “massa’s” house. Until one day, you “wake up” (just as Thomas Jefferson warned) to find yourself “home-less” (without legal title to the home you live in) “on the continent your forefathers conquered.”

• You may think of yourself as a free man who owns property, but so long as the only thing you know about “money” is how to count it, you’ll never be more than a sharecropper. So long as you have no understanding of the nature of whatever “money,” you’re using, you may ultimately be no more than a slave. So long as you don’t understand the difference between gold coin (asset) and fiat currency (debt-instruments), you and your children may spend your lives in debt bondage to the owners of the central banks that issue our fiat currencies and subject you to whatever rules and regulations they wish to ordain.

This isn’t news. Thomas Jefferson understood the dangers of private banks and fiat currency in 18th century.

In the early 20th century, Henry Ford also understood: “It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning.”

Ford knew that “we be dumb”. Our governmental system depends on our ignorance to maintain its power and to keep us subject to a loss of liberty.

And Ford may have been right in declaring that if the American people understood banking (and the nature of money) that we might revolt tomorrow morning. Maybe that’s what it’ll take to regain real liberty and real ownership of our property and homes. A revolution. Maybe a shooting revolution.

But before we have a shooting revolution, we’ll need a revolution in understanding. We’ll need a revolution wherein the people of the USA (and of the world) begin to realize that there’s more to money than math. We’ll need a revolution wherein the people begin to understand the nature of money.

The following was printed in the Las Vegas Review Journal on June 6, 2010 and is presented here in it’s original form.

“Rahm Emanuel cynically said, “You never want a crisis to go to waste.” It is now becoming clear that the crisis he was referring to is Barack Obama’s presidency.

“Obama is no fool. He is not incompetent. To the contrary, he is brilliant. He knows exactly what he’s doing. He is purposely overwhelming the U.S. economy to create systemic failure, economic crisis and social chaos — thereby destroying capitalism and our country from within.

“Barack Obama is my college classmate (Columbia University, class of ’83). As Glenn Beck correctly predicted from day one, Obama is following the plan of Cloward & Piven, two professors at Columbia University. They outlined a plan to socialize America by overwhelming the system with government spending and entitlement demands. Add up the clues below. Taken individually they’re alarming. Taken as a whole, it is a brilliant, Machiavellian game plan to turn the United States into a socialist/Marxist state with a permanent majority that desperately needs government for survival … and can be counted on to always vote for bigger government. Why not? They have no responsibility to pay for it.

“– Universal health care. The health care bill had very little to do with health care. It had everything to do with unionizing millions of hospital and health care workers, as well as adding 15,000 to 20,000 new IRS agents (who will join government employee unions). Obama doesn’t care that giving free health care to 30 million Americans will add trillions to the national debt. What he does care about is that it cements the dependence of those 30 million voters to Democrats and big government. Who but a socialist revolutionary would pass this reckless spending bill in the middle of a depression?

“– Cap and trade. Like health care legislation having nothing to do with health care, cap and trade has nothing to do with global warming. It has everything to do with redistribution of income, government control of the economy and a criminal payoff to Obama’s biggest contributors. Those powerful and wealthy unions and contributors (like GE, which owns NBC, MSNBC and CNBC) can then be counted on to support everything Obama wants. They will kick-back hundreds of millions of dollars in contributions to Obama and the Democratic Party to keep them in power. The bonus is that all the new taxes on Americans with bigger cars, bigger homes and businesses helps Obama “spread the wealth around.”

“– Make Puerto Rico a state. Why? Who’s asking for a 51st state? Who’s asking for millions of new welfare recipients and government entitlement addicts in the middle of a depression? Certainly not American taxpayers. But this has been Obama’s plan all along. His goal is to add two new Democrat senators, five Democrat congressman and a million loyal Democratic voters who are dependent on big government.

“– Legalize 12 million illegal immigrants. Just giving these 12 million potential new citizens free health care alone could overwhelm the system and bankrupt America. But it adds 12 million reliable new Democrat voters who can be counted on to support big government. Add another few trillion dollars in welfare, aid to dependent children, food stamps, free medical, education, tax credits for the poor, and eventually Social Security.

“– Stimulus and bailouts. Where did all that money go? It went to Democrat contributors, organizations (ACORN), and unions — including billions of dollars to save or create jobs of government employees across the country. It went to save GM and Chrysler so that their employees could keep paying union dues. It went to AIG so that Goldman Sachs could be bailed out (after giving Obama almost $1 million in contributions). A staggering $125 billion went to teachers (thereby protecting their union dues). All those public employees will vote loyally Democrat to protect their bloated salaries and pensions that are bankrupting America. The country goes broke, future generations face a bleak future, but Obama, the Democrat Party, government, and the unions grow more powerful. The ends justify the means.

“– Raise taxes on small business owners, high-income earners, and job creators. Put the entire burden on only the top 20 percent of taxpayers, redistribute the income, punish success, and reward those who did nothing to deserve it (except vote for Obama). Reagan wanted to dramatically cut taxes in order to starve the government. Obama wants to dramatically raise taxes to starve his political opposition.

“With the acts outlined above, Obama and his regime have created a vast and rapidly expanding constituency of voters dependent on big government; a vast privileged class of public employees who work for big government; and a government dedicated to destroying capitalism and installing themselves as socialist rulers by overwhelming the system.

“Add it up and you’ve got the perfect Marxist scheme — all devised by my Columbia University college classmate Barack Obama.”

WHEREVER YOU STAND, PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ THIS…. IT OUGHT TO GIVE YOU REAL CONCERN FOR THE FUTURE OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. IT IS NOT SOMETHING THAT STARTED RECENTLY, BUT WAS STARTED MANY YEARS AGO SOMETIME IN THE 1970′s WHEN THE SYSTEMATIC DISMANTLING OF AMERICA BEGAN WITH THE DESTRUCTION OF THE STEEL INDUSTRIES OF THE USA. ALL ADMINISTRATIONS AND CONGRESSES, BOTH REPUBLICAN AND DEMOCRAT, ARE TO BLAME AS THEY HAVE BEEN TOLD, AND ARE PRESENTLY BEING TOLD, WHAT TO DO AND HOW TO DO IT. THEY ARE NOTHING BY TALKING PUPPETS AND LAPDOGS FOR THE BANKING CARTELS AND BIG BUSINESS. IF YOU DON’T BELIEVE ME JUST COMPARE THIS SPEECH, GIVEN SOMETIME IN 2004, TO WHAT IS PRESENTLY HAPPENING TODAY AND WHERE OUR JOBS HAVE BEEN OFF-SHORED TO. AND AS I SAID IN A PREVIOUS BLOG, THEY ARE NOT COMING BACK.

Posted many times on the internet. I am just continuing it as it is so relevant and becoming more and more so each day as you look at the news.

We know Dick Lamm as the former Governor of Colorado. In that context his thoughts are particularly poignant. Last week there was an immigration overpopulation conference in Washington, DC, filled to capacity by many of America’s finest minds and leaders. A brilliant college professor by the name of Victor Hansen Davis talked about his latest book, “Mexifornia,” explaining how immigration – both legal and illegal was destroying the entire state of California. He said it would march across the country until it destroyed all vestiges of The American Dream.

Moments later, former Colorado Governor Richard D. Lamm stood up and gave a stunning speech on how to destroy America. The audience sat spellbound as he described eight methods for the destruction of the United States. He said, “If you believe that America is too smug, too self-satisfied, too rich, then let’s destroy America. It is not that hard to do. No nation in history has survived the ravages of time. Arnold Toynbee observed that all great civilizations rise and fall and that ‘An autopsy of history would show that all great nations commit suicide.’”

“Here is how they do it,” Lamm said,

“FIRST, to destroy America, turn America into a bilingual or multi-lingual and bicultural country.” History shows that no nation can survive the tension, conflict, and antagonism of two or more competing languages and cultures. It is a blessing for an individual to be bilingual; however, it is a curse for a society to be bilingual. The historical scholar, Seymour Lipset, put it this way: “The histories of bilingual and bi-cultural societies that do not assimilate are histories of turmoil, tension, and tragedy.” Canada, Belgium, Malaysia, and Lebanon all face crises of national existence in which minorities press for autonomy, if not independence. Pakistan and Cyprus have divided. Nigeria suppressed an ethnic rebellion. France faces difficulties with Basques, Bretons, and Corsicans”. Lamm went on:

“SECOND, to destroy America, Invent ‘multiculturalism’ and encourage immigrants to maintain their culture. Make it an article of belief that all cultures are equal; that there are no cultural differences; make it an article of faith that the Black and Hispanic dropout rates are due solely to prejudice and discrimination by the majority. Every other explanation is out of bounds.

THIRD, “We could make the United States an ‘Hispanic Quebec’ without much effort. The key is to celebrate diversity rather than unity. As Benjamin Schwarz said in the Atlantic Monthly recently: “The apparent success of our own multiethnic and multicultural experiment might have been achieved not by tolerance but by hegemony. Without the dominance that once dictated ethnocentricity and what it meant to be an American, we are left with only tolerance and pluralism to hold us together.”

Lamm said, “I would encourage all immigrants to keep their own language and culture. I would replace the melting pot metaphor with the salad bowl metaphor. It is important to ensure that we have various cultural subgroups living in America enforcing their differences rather than as Americans, emphasizing their similarities.”

“FOURTH, I would make our fastest growing demographic group the least educated. I would add a second underclass, unassimilated, undereducated, and antagonistic to our population. I would have this second underclass have a 50% dropout rate from high school.”

“My FIFTH point for destroying America would be to get big foundations and business to give these efforts lots of money. I would invest in ethnic identity, and I would establish the cult of ‘Victimology.’ I would get all minorities to think that their lack of success was the fault of the majority. I would start a grievance industry blaming all minority failure on the majority population.”

“My SIXTH plan for America’s downfall would include dual citizenship, and promote divided loyalties. I would celebrate diversity over unity. I would stress differences rather than similarities. Diverse people worldwide are mostly engaged in hating each other – that is, when they are not killing each other. A diverse, peaceful, or stable society is against most historical precedent. People undervalue the unity it takes to keep a nation together. Look at the ancient Greeks. The Greeks believed that they belonged to the same race; they possessed a common Language and literature; and they worshipped the same gods. All Greece took part in the Olympic games. A common enemy, Persia, threatened their liberty. Yet all these bonds were not strong enough to overcome two factors: local patriotism and geographical conditions that nurtured political divisions. Greece fell. “E Pluribus Unum” — From many, one. In that historical reality, if we put the emphasis on the ‘pluribus’ instead of the ‘Unum,’ we will balkanize America as surely as Kosovo.”

“Next to last, SEVENTH, I would place all subjects off limits; make it taboo to talk about anything against the cult of ‘diversity.’ I would find a word similar to ‘heretic’ in the 16th century – that stopped discussion and paralyzed thinking. Words like ‘racist’ or ’xenophobe’ halt discussion and debate. Having made America a bilingual/bicultural country, having established multi-culturism, having the large foundations fund the doctrine of ‘Victimology,’ I would next make it impossible to enforce our immigration laws. I would develop a mantra: That because immigration has been good for America, it must always be good. I would make every individual immigrant symmetric and ignore the cumulative impact of millions of them.”

In the last minute of his speech, Governor Lamm wiped his brow. Profound silence followed. Finally he said, “Lastly, EIGHTH, I would censor Victor Davis Hanson’s book “Mexifornia.” His book is dangerous. It exposes the plan to destroy America. If you feel America deserves to be destroyed, don’t read that book.”

There was no applause. A chilling fear quietly rose like an ominous cloud above every attendee at the conference. Every American in that room knew that everything Lamm enumerated was proceeding methodically, quietly, darkly, yet pervasively across the United States today. Discussion is being suppressed. Over 100 languages are ripping the foundation of our educational system and national cohesiveness. Even barbaric cultures that practice female genital mutilation are growing as we celebrate ‘diversity.’ American jobs are vanishing into the Third World as corporations create a Third World in America – take note of California and other states – to date, ten million illegal aliens and growing fast. It is reminiscent of George Orwell’s book “1984.” In that story, three slogans are engraved in the Ministry of Truth building: “War is peace,” “Freedom is slavery,” and “Ignorance is strength.”

Governor Lamm walked back to his seat. It dawned on everyone at the conference that our nation and the future of this great democracy is deeply in trouble and worsening fast. If we don’t get this immigration monster stopped within three years, it will rage like a California wildfire and destroy everything in its path especially The American Dream.

If you care for and love our country as I do, take the time to pass this on just as I did for you. NOTHING is going to happen if you don’t except for losing your country and your way of life.

Scott Brown won in a victory for Independents and not a victory for Republicans as many would have you believe. He may be the type of person we need in government!

In previous posts I had lambasted the American “sheeple” for not taking any interest in their government, politics, and for taking at face value whatever the “lamestream” media feeds them whether it be FOX, CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC, or CBS.

Apparently I was wrong as the two million strong voting public of the great state of Massachusetts proved yesterday in electing Republican Scott Brown over Democrat Martha Coakley by an overwhelming majority. This in a state where a Democrat has held on to the senate seat for more than 45 years and where Democrats outnumber Republicans by a margin of 3 to 1, and in a state where President Obama won by more than 25 points! If this isn’t a clear and resounding message to President Obama and the royal elite in the controlling democrat congress that even their own constituents are rebelling then I don’t know what is and they better sit up, get off their high horses and take notice for all their jobs are on the line from today forward, both republican and democrat!

How ironic that it comes exactly one year from President Obama’s inauguration! Is this a message or what!

Does this mean that Massachusetts has turned republican? No it doesn’t. Not in the least. It means that the Average Joe, who is overwhelming Independent today regardless of party affiliation, has finally gone to the window, opened it, and said,”I’m mad as hell and I’m not going to take this anymore!” And they showed that yesterday in a die-hard democratic state with their overwhelming vote against a democratic congress and a democratic president who is hellbent on taking America into Socalism!

The holier-than-thou ruling elite thought they had Massachusetts in the bag and paid no heed to the election. “This is Ted Kennedy’s seat”, they said and were so sure of keeping it. After all, Coakley had a 21 point lead just a few weeks ago, and Massachusetts had always been democrat so why pay attention? The “sheeple” have always voted democrat and they will do so again, or so they thought. What an embarrassing slap in the face to Nancy Pelosi, President Obama, Harry Reid and everyone in congress.

Republicans have already started jumping on Scott Brown and embracing him as one of their own and see his victory as their key to victory over a democratic congress later this year. The truth is Scott Brown is more of an independent than a die hard conservative Republican and is just what the country needs right now. In fact we need more of his type! He never said he was a republican nor did he tout it in his campaign and the republican party, thinking he could never win, never supported him so he beholden to no one!

We need more people like Scott Brown who will not hold true to the “party line” and will vote for what is right and not because they have been arm twisted by the party to vote one way or another or who received massive campaign contributions from their party or from special interest groups or from big corporations. If Scott Brown keeps his word, and I hope he will and not succumb to the greed that is Washington, he will be more of a maverick that Senator John McCain could ever hope to be.

One word of caution to the Republicans: Don’t you for one second think this election means that the people prefer you over democrats as your job is just as much in jeopardy as the democrats’. This is not business as usual anymore. The Average Joe is wise to your ways and is beginning to realize, albeit a little late, that you are both two sides of the same coin and will say anything to get elected.

President Obama said what the people wanted to hear, got elected, failed to keep his promise of “the most open government in history”, among others, and he is now paying the price as will many other democrats and probably republicans as the Average Joe realizes we need more Scott Browns than the same old tired people over and over and over again and get nothing but the samo samo corrupt politicians who care not what Average Joe thinks, but does whatever he/she can to line their own pockets.

One must understand that this election was not a referendum against President Obama, it was a referendum against politics as usual. With unemployment at record highs, factories closing and moving offshore at the behest of an approving, rich congress who approved their closing with tax credits, the dollar in the toilet and a national debt reaching into the trillions, the Average Joe finally realizes how crooked both democrats and republicans are. This was a referendum against big government, against politics as usual, against forced socialism, against big pharma and big corporations, against democrats AND republicans, against big bailouts for Wall Street and Goldman Sachs, et al, etc, etc.

The sad part is that poor Martha Coakly will be made the scapegoat when she received no help whatsoever from the democratic party until the very last weekend when they realized they lost their 21 point lead. They were so sure of winning that they felt they need not waste any money on a “done deal”. After panic set in, it was too little too late. President Obama has now failed four times. He failed in Virginia, he failed in New Jersey, he failed in Copenhagen, and now he has failed in Massachusetts.

Will President Obama get the message? I fear not as he feels he is worshiped by the American people as they elected him, but he should note that it was the Independents that elected him and not the democrats and now the Independents are pissed at “politics as usual” with deals being made behind closed doors, bribes being given to states like Nebraska, unions being bought off with tax breaks for their “Cadillac health programs”, closed door meetings with the big pharmaceutical companies, etc, etc, etc. Blah, blah blah. Failure to heed this message Mr. President will mean your downfall and those of your party and don’t try and spin it please as the Average Joe is now awake and will not take it anymore. This is not your fathers congress anymore! Get it?

The only we are going to get true change is if we vote all the old, tired bastards out and elect all independents or those that think the way the Average Joe does. It worked yesterday and it can work again. We CAN turn this country around. If Scott Brown stays true to his beliefs and does what he promised it will be a message to all that they can succeed if they campaign on what they truly believe. Only the next nine months will tell.

And those seeking office in congress this year better take heed that the majority of voters today are independent like myself. I may be a registered Republican, but I have voted against party lines many times and even voted for independents and libertarians. I vote for those I believe think the way I do and everyone should vote that way. The hell with party. They have an agenda and it does not include you! Get that through your head, understand it, and vote for anyone who believes what you believe in. If they don’t live upo to what they promise, vote them out next time.

Keep your word Scott Brown, keep to your principles, do not succumb to the party or greed or bribes or international corporations, and you will, you can, change the face of American politics for your children, our children, your grandchildren and for generations to come. We will truly revert back to a representative republic and not a democracy as Sarah Palin, among others, love to point out and say. Democracy is “mob rule” and that was never more evident than what we have seen with a democratic majority in congress and a democratic president, much as we seen in the 90′s with a republican majority in congress and a republican congress. It doesn’t work. We need checks and balances.

America is a representative republic and you, Scott Brown, can truly epitomize that by being a representative of the people as you promised. You were elected by the people. Now it’s up to you to to prove that we are a government by the people and for the people. Good luck!

Unemployment is not getting better and weill only get worse. More jobs will be lost and the US is on a downward spiral not to return, if ever, but the average Joe is ignorant to what is actually going on around them.

The front page headline in this past Saturdays paper screamed, “Recovery Hopes Sag As More Jobs Lost”.

In a story from Tribune Washington Bureau it started, “The U.S. economy ended the worst year of employment losses since the Great Depression with an unexpectedly large new drop of 85,000 jobs in December – dimming hopes of a quick upswing in hiring and intensifying Washington’s partisan fight over how to create more opportunities for workers.

“The unemployment rate for the month was unchanged from November at 10 percent, the government said Friday, but that was only because droves of people – including many discouraged about the prospects of finding work – dropped out of the labor force and were no longer counted as unemployed.” (emphasis added)

Excuse me? Not counted as unemployed? Droves of people dropping out and they are not included and we are told that the unemployment rate remains “unchanged from November at 10 percent”! How stupid does the US government think the average Joe is? Apparently they think he is pretty stupid and will take at face value that things must be getting better since the unemployment remains unchanged. Give me a freaking break!

The government is afraid of telling the true unemployment rate, which is probably more around 17 – 18 percent, if these “discouraged workers” were included. Instead they mask the truth with what they call the “official unemployment rate” and the sucker average Joe takes it a face value. When a person’s unemployment benefits run out they are no longer included in the ranks of the unemployed. The same holds true for people who take much lesser paying jobs or work 2-3 part-time jobs in order to make ends meet while looking for better employment. Only people collecting unemployment benefits are included and this gives a false, misleading number to the average Joe.

This is along the lines of when the government tells us the inflation rate for the previous month. They tell us “core inflation” remains low or unchanged, or up a bit, but what they refuse to tell us is that this BS “core inflation” does not include gasoline or food prices. Again, what a freaking crock of BS because gasoline and food prices are what Americans spend most of their money on. Incorporate these numbers into the “official inflation” rate and they would be way higher and congress would be hearing it from their constituents.

All the average Joe hears is “unemployment” and “inflation” and and has no idea what is omitted from these numbers. Yes, they honestly believe we are that naive, uninformed, and dumb and sadly they are right and the lamestream media goes along with it perpetuating they myth of “official” numbers from the government.

The unemployment story goes on to say that, “administration officials cautioned that the overall unemployment numbers might get worse before the hoped-for turnaround. Obama, speaking Friday at the White House, said overall job trends were still promising. When he took office in the first quarter of last year, the nation lost an average of 691,000 jobs a month. That fell to 69,000 monthly jobs in the fourth quarter.”

So, does this mean that losing 69,000 monthly jobs mean things are getting better? Does it not mean that there are fewer jobs to lose as most companies have already cut to the bone and moved most of their manufacturing overseas and that there will probably be more losses coming as they continue to cut costs? I believe it does. And trust me, unemployment numbers will get worse before they get better and a so-called turnaround will not come for a long, long time. Also, what do they mean by “overall job trends are still promising”? I see nothing promising except the promise that more jobs will be lost, albeit if in fewer numbers.

The story goes on to say that, according to President Obama, the latest unemployment numbers “are a reminder that the road to recovery is never straight and that we have to continue to work every single day to get our economy moving again. For most Americans, and for me, that means jobs.”

Uh, excuse me Mr. President, please tell the average Joe how you plan to get the economy moving again when virtually nothing of any value is made in the USA anymore and that more and more manufacturing and engineering/white collar jobs are moving to China and India respectively on a daily basis while you and the congress do nothing to stem the tide but instead encourage it. Pray tell Mr. President how you are working “every single day” to get our economy moving again for, when one takes a hard look, there is nothing being done. Nothing!

Do you even know Mr. President that raw lumber is being shipped to China from Oregon and Washington state for processing and then shipped back to the US because it is cheaper to ship it there and then ship it back than process it here in the US? Of course you do and you and congress encourage it with tax incentives for these corporations.

The truth is that, for this average Joe and for most average Joe’s for that matter, jobs are not coming back for many years. And when they do we’ll be manufacturing products at low wages for the Chinese!

The US stock market may look good and seem to be rising to the average Joe, who falsely believes that this means that the economy is getting better, when the real truth is that these international conglomerates are making their profits on the backs of cheap Chinese and Indian labor with no EPA, OSHA, and other governmental restrictions and safeguards in place and are parking their profits offshore and not paying taxes. Of course they are making profits. How can they not make huge profits? But it is not because things are getting better here in the US, it’s because things are getting better in China to the tune of thousands of jobs a month. Why pay a worker in the US $15/hr and all the expensive restrictions in place when you can make the same product in China for $1/hr and still charge the sucker average Joe in the US the same retail price as if the product were made in the USA? It’s genius and the average Joe sheeple/sucker just goes along with it because he is uninformed and ignorant and unwilling to have a backbone and do something about it.

Also, if one thinks that if we get rid of a Democrat congress and elect a Republican one that things will get better trust me, they will not. Both Republicans and Democrats are on the payroll of big business and nothing will change. The only thing that will bring change is when Independents are given access to the ballot box. But that is a long uphill climb as restrictions were put in place some years back that make it virtually impossible for Independents to get on the ballot or be allowed into the presidential debates.

Until the average Joe finally awakens to the scam government we have and finally realizes that they do not, never have, and never will have, the wishes of their constituents in mind or do what’s best for their constituents, things will only get worse.

Face it, jobs are gone for a long, long time and will not come back, if ever, regardless of what you read in the paper or hear on the news or what your president says or what your congressman/woman says because they are beholden to big business and not you! Get that through your head and do something about it and maybe, maybe, things will change. Based on past experience, I doubt very much the average Joe will awaken and do what is necessary to get what was once a great country back on its feet again.

Things in the US will get way worse before they get better, if ever. Unemployment will continue to soar, more jobs will be off-shored, the US dollar will get weaker, national debt, at an all time high, will continue to increase, and the average Joe will continue to beg the government for help and suckle at the teat of government welfare while, in return, giving away more and more of the freedoms that made this country great rather than do what needs to be done and that is to stand up and vote the bastards out of office, both Republican and Democrat. Sadly, I believe it may be too late as too many of our so-called representatives have been bought out by big business lobbyists who now control our government.

As an oft used quote says, due to ignorance and apathy, “People get the government they deserve”, and like sheep led to the slaughter house they will just follow the sheep in front and will get what they deserve because they can’t, and refuse to, think for themselves and will take at face value what they hear on the news and from the people that are supposed to be representing them when it is all just a lie.

Something to think about:

When we look at our Turkey tomorrow we will give thanks for all that we have, especially for family and friends. We will be thankful if we still have a job with no prospect for a raise, a few bucks in the bank and still able to pay the mortgage as one out of four people today owe more on their homes than they are worth.

When our politicians, both Republican and Democrat, look at their turkey tomorrow they will be thankful for all they have and for all the turkey’s that voted for them so they could give themselves a raise in this time of economic turmoil while millions take pay cuts including yours truly.

When the bankers and brokers on Wall Street look at their Turkey tomorrow they will give thanks to all the Turkey’s in congress who voted to give them our money and our children’s money so they could receive multi-million dollar bonuses this year while millions are without a job and losing their homes thanks to their games and scams.

Me? After enjoying my Turkey I’ll be drinking Wild Turkey cussing them all out and figuring out how best to get them out of office!

“The money powers prey upon the nation in times of peace and conspire against it in times of adversity. It is more despotic than a monarchy, more insolent than autocracy and more selfish than a bureaucracy. It denounces, public enemies, all who question its methods or throw light upon its crimes. I have two great enemies, the southern army in front of me and the bankers in the rear. Of the two the one at my rear is my greatest foe.” Abraham Lincoln

“Whoever controls the volume of money in this country is absolute master of all industry and commerce…and when you realize the entire system is very easily controlled, one way or another, by a few powerful men at the top, you will not have to be told how periods of inflation and depression originate.” James A Garfield 20th president of the US

President Obama mentioned (hinted?) last week that there is a possibility of a double-dip recession. Possiblity? You can take it to the bank, if it is still open (as more than 100 banks have already failed this year), that there WILL BE a double-dip recession. It’s all but guaranteed.

We are told that there will be a jobs recovery. Where, may I ask, will these jobs be since we have only about 14% of our manufacturing base left compared to the 1960’s? Does “Would you like fries with that?” sound familiar as that will be about the only jobs left.

The truth is that all our jobs have been outsourced to China and other third world countries and we don’t make any consumer items anymore. Clothes? Overseas. Machine tools? Overseas. Consumer goods? Overseas. Furniture? Overseas. Cars and Trucks? Mostly made in Canada and Mexico and Korea and soon China and assembled in the US. Go to any store whether it be Wal-Mart, Target, Home Depot, Lowes, JC Penny, Sears, Toys R US, anywhere and all goods will be made overseas whereas 40 years ago we made them all here in the good ‘ole US of A. Where may I ask will you work in the future?

We are told that there will be a new manufacturing sector for the manufacturing of so-called “green products”. Don’t you bet on it! All these “green products” will be made in China and other third-world countries as the profits are higher. International conglomerates have abandoned the USA and their restrictions for more profits overseas at slave wages. In the not too distant future I see the USA making goods at slave wages for the people in China. I hope I am dead by then.

Here’s a simple example. In the past let’s say that Nike manufactured high end basketball shoes in the US that sold for US$100. With the high wages and restrictions in place let’s say that it cost them $50 to manufacture a pair of sneakers that they sold for $100 with a $50 profit/pair. If they manufactured them in China, they could manufacture the same pair of sneakers for $5 including shipping to the US and they could still sell them for $100 as there would be enough sheeple to buy them thanks to advertising that convinced the sheeple to buy them and that they needed them in order to be “cool”. Therefore, they now have a profit of $95 with no taxes thanks to NAFTA that they shipped to Mexico and on into the US! Nearly double their profit of manufacturing in the US! Therefore, why would they continue to manufacture in the US? Without tariffs it wouldn’t make economical sense. The hell with American workers! Thanks to Congress and lobbyists we don’t need them anymore! Sad but true.

If the economy in the US did fail, and it will, they could still lower the price of their $100 basketball shoes to $50 and still make a $45 profit!

The US dollar is losing value on a daily basis; gold and silver are at record highs (in today’s dollars) and we are running a deficit of 12 Trillion dollars ($12,000,000,000,000)! We are wearing knee pads begging the Chinese to keep buying more of our debt. Yet the stock market keeps rising on a daily basis. How can this be so? I was always taught in Economics that when the stock market goes up, gold and silver goes down. When gold and silver goes up there is the threat of massive inflation on the horizon. Hmmm. However, we are still paying the Chinese about $50 million/week in interest payments for their buying of our about $2 billion/month of our debt. All of it from your taxes!

This recession/depression is far, far worse than the so-called Great Depression of the 1930’s as back then there were no credit cards or credit for that matter, most people saved up for what they wanted to buy and paid in cash, and most people didn’t own a home. If you did and you had a second mortgage you were considered a loser. People needed collateral back then to get any kind of loan. Recently, you only had to fog a mirror to buy a home or a car!

We are lied to that the “official” unemployment is at a 26 year high of 10.2% (U3), but if one takes into account those that have lost benefits, cannot find a job, or are forced to take a minimum wage job in order to feed their family, all which are NOT included in the “official unemployment rate”. The true rate of U6, if you will, is actually about 22%. Some will argue this point, but it is a fact. The government, as all governments, both past and present, have lied to their people. It’s a fact of life.

I drive a big rig for a living hauling LTL (Less than a Truck Load) freight for a very large private company and we have been in a recession since October 2006 and things are getting worse. So worse in fact that we have recently had a 20% layoff for the first time in more than 75 years! Things are NOT getting better and more layoffs are expected after the first of the year. Yet we are told by our government on a daily basis that recovery is on the horizon. What a crock!

I used to haul at least 60,000 lbs of freight nightly round trip and now I am lucky if I haul 20,000 lbs with most nights being about 10,000 lbs. Recovery? Recovery? Don’t bet on it. The trucking industry is usually about six months ahead of the curve and there is no recovery on the horizon. Bet on it!

I could go on and on, but this is enough for now. However, on this Thanksgiving be thankful if you still have a job, or someone in your family has one as you may not have one next year. Be thankful if you still have a roof over your head as your next mortgage payment may be to a Chinese bank and whatever you do, vote the bastards out of office and vote in Independents who are not beholden to the wealthy and lobbyists.

Does anyone ever take the time to consider why a politician would spend millions of their own money for a job that pays about $185,000/year as they could never hope to recoup their investment? Is it because they want to do what’s best for us, the people? HA! Not on your life. They know they could make ten times their investment voting for what the lobbyists want and not what the people want. It’s about time we stood up! It always has been that way and always will be. It’s about time the sheeple took their blinders off.

It’s said that only when a person feels enough pain that they will make a change in their lives for the better. How much pain must the American people endure before they stand up and make a change in their lives? Since they are so drugged with anti-depressants, sleeping pills and other pharmaceuticals that will stop them from peeing or help them get a hard on, etc, I don’t see it happing anytime soon. Hopefully I am wrong.

On radio and TV here in the US we get severely edited videos, pictures, and audio while the rest of the world gets virtually unedited versions of what we can’t see and hear. Why? Is it because someone, a minute segment of the population, might be offended and threaten to boycott some sponsors’ products? The sad answer is yes and the fear instilled in all Americans today is to be careful of what you say or show as someone will probably be offended. Therefore, no one speaks their mind anymore lest they be targeted and lose their job.

A few examples:

- Anyone who writes or says anything against President Obama or his policies is now considered a racist as he is a “black” president, the “first black president”, and anyone who disagrees with him must be a racist, especially if they are white. Regardless if they voted for him or not, they are still considered racist and the major media today, especially MSNBC, is fully backing this fallacy. Anything to get their socialist agenda passed. It’s a sad shame that the media today is not fulfilling their role as was intended by our forefathers as a voice, and a watchdog, against bad government and the harbinger heralding the freedom of speech and the voicing of one’s opinion.

- Bill O’Reilly on his The O’Reilly Factor show repeatedly warned viewers, mostly adults mind you, of the upcoming Public Service Announcement (PSA) from the UK showing in graphic and horrifying detail the consequences of what might happen when teens text and drive. Granted, a warning for small children is warranted, but to warn adults, repeatedly, who are supposed to be mature enough to view something like this and understand that it is only graphic acting is going a little overboard in my opinion. Instead, he should’ve demanded that all parents get their driving teens into the room to watch the video along with them. In the end all we got was a watered down version of the video and a “discussion” that all people should watch it. Duhhhhhhhh! No need for the discussion. Just show it with a warning for the children.

Besides, teens, and many adults for that matter, see far worse in slasher movies that are so popular here in the US, so why the hypocracy? What are they protecting us from? The average Joe just laughs at you and sees right through you

- In another show criticizing Bill Maher, O’Reilly bleeped out something Bill Maher said in an interview with Conan O’Brian. As I was driving at the time all I heard was something like Maher saying, “He calls me a pinhead! Number one, that’s not true and number two, that’s really funny coming from a ‘bleep‘ head like him.”

Wow, I thought, he must’ve really cussed out O’Reilly and called him a “shit head” or a “fuck head.” Luckily for me I DVR’d Conan and I could see it when I got home. Maybe I could read his lips.

When I viewed the program I was shocked and dumbfounded that the word O’Reilly, in all his wisdom and “looking out for you”, bleeped out was “doody”! Bill Maher had called him a “doody head” and O’Reilly bleeped it! The NBC censors didn’t bleep it! Maybe they figured the audience was mature enough to handle a word like that.

In my opinion he bleeped it because one, he wanted to trick his viewers into thinking that Bill Maher had actually called him a “fuck head” or a “shit head” and to make him look bad or, two, and this I really find hard to believe, but it may be the real truth, he wanted to protect his ADULT viewers from hearing a bad word like “doody head” that every three year old has used and probably uses on a daily basis!

O’Reilly loves proclaiming that he has the smartest viewers, but he deems it necessary to protect his “smart” viewers from the word “doo doo”. Bill Maher is exactly right. We must be a nation of idiots when O’Reilly bleeps out “doody” in the interest of protecting his viewers from bad words! I agree with Bill Maher on this one. What a freakin’ doody head O’Reilly is.

- The recent summer reality program called “I Survived A Japanese Game Show” deemed it necessary to block out the butts of Japanese sumo wrestlers in their traditional garb which is basically a string bikini for fat sumo wrestlers. This is traditional wear, going back hundreds of years that is shown, unedited, on Japanese TV and which every person from kids to adults in Japan has seen and it has not caused any traumatic brain damage to them! Are Americans too sissified to view a fat butt in traditional wear? The sensors seem to think that Americans cannot handle it lest they become brain damaged and too horny to control themselves if they see it? Probably so as it was censored, but turn on any major broadcasting channel in Primetime in the US and you will see sitcoms glorifying sex between teenagers, spousal cheating, sex, sex, and more sex. They may not show nudity, but the innuendo is ALWAYS there for anyone with half a brain. Besides, in the US all one has to do is walk down a beach or by a swimming pool in the US to see women in string bikinis and I’m sure every kid has seen one! Why the hypocracy?

Turn on Japanese TV at prime time and you will rarely see one mention of sex or innuendo or kissing in shows for the family or aimed at teenagers on shows labeled “Family Dramas”. Don’t get me wrong here, they are not prudes by any stretch as you will see naked breasts and probably graphic love making, under sheets of course, in prime time, in movies and adult oriented shows and the Japanese are not traumatized! Sex has it’s place in some TV shows in Japan when the story line demands it, even if it is in prime time and no one complains. The same probably holds true for TV in Europe I’m sure. Only in America, the land of the free, are we “protected” from the horrors of the naked or semi-naked body, but sex between teenagers in prime time, that’s cool. Quite a contradiction and a bit of hypocracy if you ask me.

I even remember once, while visiting Japan during the New Years holiday a while back seeing naked breasts on live TV during prime time when the requirement for entering a hot spot showcasing popular singers demanded that women reveal their breasts! I was watching along with my in-laws and no one was shocked. That would never happen in the puritanical USofA as it may damage the brains of people and cause them to commit ungodly sex acts!

- Fox News Channel, as well as some other cable and network channels, deemed it necessary to bleep out “god ‘bleep’ America” during the Reverend Wright debacle during the presidential campaign last year! WTF? Are Americans too timid to handle a word that they and their children hear on a daily basis and most adults use in their daily language? Heck, even the movie Casablanca used the word ‘damn’ in 1939!

Also, movies shown on cable TV, which was supposed to be uncensored, deems it necessary, in the interest of “protecting the children” from cuss words, to bleep out these words or replace them with edited “safe” words. Jeeze, any moron with half a brain could figure out what was said or is meant to say. Besides, who wants to watch The Godfather or Goodfellas or Saving Private Ryan with edited, watered down dialogue? It’s not the same. I want to hear people speak as they would in daily life, and if it includes a few cuss words, well, that’s natural. Besides, the so-called kids they are proclaiming to protect probably use them and hear them used by their parents and friends on a daily so who are they kidding?

- Radio “shock jock” shows like Opie and Anthony, Howard Stern, and Bob and Tom have been so censored and watered down that innuendo is not even allowed anymore even if the words are so-called “safe” words. It has gotten so bad that Opie and Anthony, along with Stern, have been forced to satellite radio so that they could be broadcast as they were meant to be. Even on AM radio in the past they were great shows, but the censorship has gotten so bad that “shock shows” are not even worth listening to anymore. Bob and Tom, although they are still on mainstream radio, are but a shell of what they were in the past and it is not even worth listening to anymore as we cannot even hear the bit concerning “The Amazing Crisco” or the great song “Cameltoe” or the “Mike Hunt” bit anymore as someone may be offended by the innuendo! I say tough shit! Turn it off if you don’t like it. It’s still your right, I think, but don’t impose your morals on me or others just because you don’t like it.

I don’t like everything I hear on Opie and Anthony or Howard Stern and I just change the channel for the bits I am not interested in or make me cringe, but they should still have the right to broadcast if they are within the boundaries set by the FTC. Innuendo should be fine as long as actual cuss words are not used. I’ll just come back later as the shows were still interesting and fun to listen to. Besides, the boundaries set by the FCC have become so strict that Taliban radio probably allows far more innuendo than we are now hearing and seeing in the US today.

- Words have been replaced and buried here in the US. The “N” word is no longer allowed by whites as it should be, but it’s still ok for blacks to use the word among themselves. The same goes for the “F” word for gays (which they also use among themselves). Even in Japan, which I am quite familiar with, there is a continuing campaign against the “G” word (gaijin, outsider, alien) by foreigners, mainly Americans who also use the word among themselves and who consider the word derogatory and racist. But in my opinion, as Shakespeare so eloquently put it, “A rose by any other name is still a rose” and any other substitution will still have the same general meaning regardless. As for myself, I never let the word bother me when living in Japan as I WAS a gaijin and if the Japanese decided to replace it with “flower” or just “G” it would STILL be considered derogatory by many! A word only has power when you allow it to and I never allowed the word gaijin to have power over me and never considered it racist for to do so would only give the person using it more power over me.

- In the US today if you discipline your children with a spanking you can go to jail for child abuse! Heck, if my parents didn’t discipline me with a spanking now and then I would’ve probably turned out to be juvenile delinquent or ended up in jail as I was kind of hard to control and hung out with the “bad crowd”. It was the fear I had of my parents that kept me on the straight and narrow. Today, if I were a youngster, I would have no fear of my parents as I could rat them out and I more than likely would’ve turned out a wimp, a sissie, or ended up in jail. I thank my parents today for the discipline they had over me.

In the interests of pleasing the few, like interest groups, America has succeeded in displeasing the many and the average Joe American just takes it, sits back and allows the fringe media (formerly mainstream media) to tell them what and how they should think and they accept it like the docile little sheeple they are. The fringe media has succeeded well in forcing a split among the races, the gays, the sexes and political parties and they would not want to have it any other way as they thrive on confrontation and make their living from it to further their socialist agenda where everyone is equal and everyone is pleased. Sad, so very sad. There are no longer any real Americans anymore, just a sissified, wussified, controlled people who cannot think for themselves anymore and who gladly give up their basic freedoms and rights because they are told they should and allows themselves to get kicked in the face by the rest of the world and by their own government and media.

Thanks to our socialistic educational system most Americans do not even know anymore that our government is supposed to be a government by the people and for the people and that our government works for us, not the other way around. Since Americans cannot think for themselves anymore, they have gladly abdicated their power to those they “elected” and choose to be controlled and no longer free as it’s too difficult on their brains these days and the world just shakes their head. As someone once said, “You get the government you deserve.”

Both parties and talking heads lie on a daily basis to the people. It's about time the sheeple awoke and put an end to this partisan politics by electing a third party.

The last time I checked the US was still a free country with a constitution that guaranteed the freedom of speech and this freedom of speech did not say anything about criticizing a sitting US president or expressing ones views even during a joint session of congress as was witnessed when the democrats booed President Bush during his speech. Now the democrats have introduced legislation forbidding any member of congress from saying the president, any president, is a liar, or any speech insinuating same, even if it is proved that he said “untruths”. How hypocritical coming from a congress who lies on a daily basis and lies to get themselves elected as any average Joe in the US knows. Who do they think they are kidding?

The recent furor by the democrats and the press over Representative Joe Wilson’s outburst during President Obama’s speech last week with “You lie!” in response to the presidents statement that illegal immigrants would be barred from participating in a national health insurance plan is completely biased, partisan, and unwarranted as the average Joe knows that illegal immigrants will be able to participate just by going to an emergency room where they cannot be turned down for any medical care regardless of whether the have insurance or not. Besides that, I now hear that the first Hispanic representative (I can’t remember his name) to vouch for President Obama during his campaign is now in disagreement with his statement and demands that he change it to include illegals!

Well, since free speech and the giving of one’s opinion is still legal, I think, in the US, I will give the average Joe’s opinion of “You Lie!”

YOU LIE! former President Carter when you say that criticizing President Obama is based in racism when you yourself know that that is not the truth for, if it were not for the vast majority of white independent voters in the US, President Obama would never have been elected if they were racist as you say. You lie! in order to promote the cause of the democratic party by using racism as an excuse to criticize a sitting president.

YOU LIE! the Black Caucus of the US congress as they are taking the same road as former president Carter in saying that Representative Joe Wilson was being racist in his response. You are taking the same sad path of President Carter in order to advance your agenda and the Democratic party.

In both cases above as well as on a daily basis, the democratic party is using racism as an excuse to not criticize the president. Anyone who disagrees with the president must be a racist according to them. They should be ashamed of themselves.

YOU LIE! ABC anchor Charles Gibson when you say that you have never heard of the ACORN scandal for, if you were a true anchor and journalist and interested in telling the truth about this hideous scandal, it would be leading the news on a daily basis. Is it any wonder no one is watching or listening to the evening news anymore save for the sheeple who cannot think on their own for which you would not have a broadcast if it weren’t for them, the gullible and naive.

YOU LIE! former President Bush when you said that there were Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) in Iraq and that the oil of Iraq would pay for the war! Where is this oil money going anyway? Somebody is making money from Iraq’s oil and the average Joe would like to know who is.

YOU LIE! Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke when you said that the recession is over and that the US would recover. How can this be true when there are practically no manufacturing jobs left in the US, the US dollar is at an all time low, gold and silver are at all time highs and the US will never recover from this recession? It’s impossible. How can the recession be over when more than 95 banks have failed so far this year and a few hundred will fail next year? When gold reaches an all time high it means only one thing, inflation is on the horizon or the US dollar and the US’ word is not worth anything. YOU LIE! Jobs will never come back, nor will the US recover.

YOU LIE! Bill O’Reilly when he claims to be “looking out for you” when the only thing he is looking out for is his own ratings. He said back in 2003 during his talking points that he would hold President Bush’s feet to the fire if there were no WMD in Iraq and he failed to do so. Instead, he garnered an exclusive interview with Bush and never said another word about the lack of WMD in Iraq or followed up on his threat while thousands of servicemen died for what? If Bill O’Reilly was really “looking out for you” he would be holding President Obama’s feet to the fire as well as slamming president Bush. Instead he gives us a few crumbs making the average Joe believe he’s doing something while secretly playing up to President Obama in the hopes of getting an exclusive interview with him as he did with Bush.

YOU LIE! The congress and senate of the US when you say that you will do what is in the best interests of your constituents when the Average Joe Constituent knows that you will never do that as you will only do what is in the best interests of the lobbyists and your campaign contributors and the average Joe comes last unless you fear not getting reelected, then you will lie again and again and again and again, etc. as you have always done.

The truth of the matter is that they all lie! The press, the media, our representatives, our government, the talking heads of both parties and talk shows. I don’t care who they are. Limbaugh, Hannity, O’Reilly, Olberman, Matthews, Gibson, Couric, MSNBC, FOX, NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, CNBC, etc, they all lie to further their agenda and their party.

What the US needs is a third party that is above this partisan bickering and lies. If Japan, after 50 years of a one party leadership can wake up and elect a new party to lead their country, then it’s about time the sheeple of the United States awoke and elected a third party in this country. Failure to do so will only lead us down the road of ruin and nothing will ever be solved in this country. We need a third party and the Average Joe is doing everything in his power to see that that is accomplished in the next election. If we can have term limits on the presidency, then we can have term limits on congress. If not elect independents and throw the bums out as THEY ALL LIE, HAVE ALWAYS LIED, AND WILL CONTINUE TO LIE TO GET ELECTED AND BECOME RICHER WHILE YOU BECOME POORER! WAKE UP SHEEPLE!

Freedom of the press was inserted as the first amendment into the Bill of Rights in order that the press may be a watchdog over the government and protect the people from a tyrannical form of government .

Today, sadly, the press has become an arm of government, the left side of government and pushes the agenda of the democratic socialists and the sheeple of the United States believes everything that they read and hear. Sad, so very sad.

As Thomas Jefferson said, “When the people fear the government there is tyranny. When the government fears the people, there is freedom.” Sadly today, in the United States, the sheeple fear the government and, as the old saying goes, they get the government the deserve.

Does anyone, besides this average Joe, think that it’s about time the President of the United States started acting like a President instead of being a constant campaigner for his health care reform bill? Since he has been in office President Obama has given more speeches in prime time than the last three presidents combined! It’s like he doesn’t realize that the campaign is over already! To be honest, this average Joe is getting sick of seeing the president on TV so much and so often and believes he should be concentrating on more presidential duties. Hello! We have a war going on you know and US soldiers are dying on a daily basis! Hello! We have record unemployment and a world-wide recession going on!

If the president wants to be a campaigner he should turn over the reins of power to the vice-president and stay out on the campaign trail as he can’t do both! I sometimes wonder who is actually running our government while he spends over 90% of his time on the road. Sure, he has charisma, is an eloquent speaker (with a teleprompter), and can get his message across, but it is beginning to wear thin on the average Joe I believe and he risks losing the independents who got him elected in the first place if he hasn’t already lost them with his and Congresses’ failure to understand what exactly was in the original health care bill that passed committee in July.

Maybe he has no faith in a congress that has the lowest ratings of any congress in history to get his point across or to produce a decent, honest bill. As the recent town hall meetings proved, this congress has no idea what’s in the health care bill they they want to pass. If the President and congress have no idea what is in the health care bill who the hell is writing the bill? The pharmaceutical and health care industries along with their lawyers? They must be as no congressperson has read it nor do they know the contents and they should be ashamed of themselves for it. No wonder they took such a beating at the town hall meetings in August as they haven’t a clue what’s in the bills they are passing nor do they care one iota for their constituents, the average Joe, especially when the average Joe knows more than their leaders what’s in the bill! Shame on you!

The President gave a great speech last night and he had some great points concerning health care reform, but I sometimes wonder if he doesn’t realize just how Washington works. He can say all the right things and please the American people in a speech, but the average Joe knows that congress will get what congress and their lobbyists want regardless of what the President says or wants or what is right for the American people. Regardless of what he says, Republicans will never go along with it even if it is the right thing for the American people, and vice-versa for a Republican president! What we truly need in this country is a third party as our two party system is too partisan and outdated in today’s environment.

Mr. President, if you don’t like what the congress proposes in their health care reform bill then veto it and send it back and tell the American people why you vetoed it as it does not conform to your promises to us. For you to stay out on the campaign trail on an almost daily basis leads the average Joe to believe that you are trying to push something on us that is detrimental to us and not in our best interests. When someone pushes so hard for something and gives us the “strong sell” they are either an ardent believer and supporter of their cause, or a snake oil salesman trying to convince gullible people through eloquent speech to accept and believe something that is totally not right and a scam.

As of yet this average Joe is not convinced in your hard sell and is suspicious of why you are trying to sell me something so forcefully. If all the points you outlined last night are in the bill and there is no pork or earmarks I will be sold. If not, then I’ll know it’s business as usual in Washington, DC and the only ones who will win in the long run will be the lobbyists, and the losers, as usual, will be the average Joe, aka the American people and nothing has changed. I’m still waiting for the “Change we can believe in” that was the cornerstone of your campaign.

If a Health Care Reform Bill comes out with everything you outlined, then my faith will be, kind of, restored in government. If not, and it is a pork laden bill and not in our interests and you sign it, I will never have faith in the politicians of the US ever again.

I have my differences with President Obama and the direction this country is taking under his leadership, but we need health care reform that is affordable. With this bill, President Obama the opportunity here to prove to the average Joe that there really can be a president who puts the interests of the American people above those of congress or the lobbyists and the campaign contributors. However, I have an uneasy feeling that it will never happen and that we truly need a third party to get anything done these days. I hope I am wrong.

While it is sad that anyone must die it still does not change my thinking on the man or others that follow the path of a career politician whether they be Democrat or Republican.

Arnold Schwarzenegger, governor of California, was quoted today as saying that Ted Kennedy said that “public service is not an occupation or a hobby, but a way of life.” This coming from someone who never had to work an honest day in his life?

Listening to the news today on the passing of Senator Ted Kennedy, you’d think we lost a member of the Royal Family or something. At least that’s the way the news media wants us to believe. We hear how it’s “the end of a dynasty” and how important he was to the American political machine in that he was one of the most senior members of the senate and had “served for 47 years and was such a staunch advocate for the working man/woman and a staunch supporter of civil and equal rights and an advocate of a universal health care system for all. 47 years! Does anyone see anything wrong with this picture?

In his later years, after he lost the primary to Jimmy Carter in 1980, at 48, maybe Ted Kennedy did fight for the average Joe seeing that he would never become president, but I doubt it. Does anyone really believe that he, or anyone in congress for that matter had/has the interests of the average Joe in mind while they are in office? Excuse me while I laugh. If it were not for his name and his family’s money, I doubt very much that if he were just Edward Moore that he could ever have been elected dog catcher, especially after being expelled from Harvard for cheating or the Mary Jo Kopechne case. Would the average Joe have been elected to the senate if he had these negatives against him? Not on your life! Names, money, silver spoons and connections had a lot of pull in America then, as it does today, regardless of ones past.

Our forefathers never intended people like Ted Kennedy or Robert Byrd, among others, to serve in government their entire lives. The job as Senator or Congressman was intended for the average Joe, upon election by people in his district, to be able to go to Washington to represent his district for a couple of years and then return home so that someone else may take his place. The way the system was set up was that anyone could run for office, not just lawyers or university graduates, or people with a lot of money, as we are led to believe today.

In a representative republic any average Joe could and should run for office if he/she believes they could best represent the views and beliefs of their district. When their term was finished maybe Sam the barber, or John the hardware store owner, or Sam the dairy farmer, would take their place. Sadly, today that has been taken away from us and the average Joe citizen has not a chance of representing his district as was intended. Being a representative was never intended to be a career and it has been the undoing of the American political system as, once in office a politicians first and only job, from day one, is to get re-elected and, in order to achieve that goal they are at the mercy of lobbyists, big corporations and campaign contributors. They care not one iota for the people in their districts although they may claim to during campaigning and election time.

Once in office they vote on legislation the way they are told to by those that hold the purse strings or they are guaranteed not to get re-elected or receive campaign funding or the “perks” of office. They are beholden to no one else, ever. Regardless of how much we may complain they care not until they get enough complaints from the people in their districts that they are forced to vote the way the people want. Just look at the commotion that the town hall meetings are having today. Our representatives are actually sweating and that’s the way it should be! As I’ve said before, they’re supposed to represent us as our forefathers intended in a representative republic!

It is only the elite and wealthy who run for office today and THEY make the rules and laws for the average Joe to follow when they themselves are exempt from following their own laws!

As an example, when the Americans with Disabilities Act and the ban on smoking in Federal offices was passed, to name two, congress exempted themselves from these laws and thus built no ramps for the disabled and they were still allowed to smoke in their offices while the average Joe got screwed and had to abide by these laws. We are supposed to abide by laws made by people who have never worked an honest day in their lives (most of them anyway) and have no idea exactly how the average Joe lives in struggling to pay their bills and feed and house their families. The majority in congress today never had a worry in their lives and they are supposed to know what’s best for us and tell us how to live? Give me a freakin’ break!

If an average Joe wants to run for office, he/she better have a lot of money, have contributed heavily to campaigns, greased the right pockets and kissed the right butts or he/she would not even be given a chance. They would be be a laughing stock and would not even be taken seriously.

Sadly, they way the system has become so corrupted today no average Joe has a snowballs chance in hell of even being considered for office unless he has a lot of charisma, is corruptible and/or has skeletons in their closet that can be used against them if they do not do what they are told. Sad, yes, but so true in today’s society.

To quote from icitizenforum.com:

The transformation of our democracy to its present dysfunctional form was not intentional; it evolved as ambitious politicians pursued their own selfish interests. They ignore the fact that public office is a service not a career opportunity. Arrogance and egotism grow proportionately with the length of time members serve in Congress. Make no mistake, career politicians are ruining this country in their quest to remain in office.

A remedy to the destructive, career politician is a limit of one term in office. This restriction eliminates: conflict of interest; raising campaign funds and their attendant obligations; spending office time campaigning; the use of earmarks. Such a limit would abolish the seniority system in Congress. Disposing of the seniority system would diminish the contentious rivalry between political parties and improve the governing process.

Has anyone ever wondered why a person would spend untold millions of dollars, that they could never hope to recoup, to run for an office that pays about $174,000 per year for both congressmen and senators? Is it because they really want to do what’s right for the people in their district? Hell no! It’s because of the “perks” one receives upon entering office and the even bigger and better and more lucrative perks they receive if one continuously gets re-elected. If it were not for these perks why would anyone spend such an ungodly sum of money? I can tell you it’s not to do what’s in the interest of the average Joe that’s for sure.

If our forefathers were alive today and can see how corrupt their perfect form of government has become they would definitely instill term limits of one or two terms for our so-called representatives. For more on this please read The Career Politician Virus to get a better understanding.

It makes me sick when I look at the elitists in congress today and see that most of them are career politicians, were born with a silver spoon in their mouths, have never worked an honest day in their lives or had to sweat paying their mortgage, and that they care nothing for the people they are supposed to represent. The only thing that they care about is themselves and getting re-elected and what money they are receiving under the table or from big business or how much money they can make as a lobbyist if they lose their seat.

If we are ever to save our country from the elitists and the path to socialism we are following today we must vote all politicians out of office, instill term limits, and have a third party because the present two party system is nothing more than two sides of the same coin who are both beholden to the same masters, those with the purse strings.

Believe what you will, as the sheeple usually believe what they see and hear on the media, but the fact is that Ted Kennedy and the others in congress do not care about the average Joe. They never have and never will. They will do only what will get them re-elected and the only solution is term limits as they imposed on the presidency during Franklin Roosevelt’s time, but failed to impose term limits on themselves. Hmmm, I wonder why?

To quote from icitizenforum.com:

A remedy to the destructive, career politician is a limit of one term in office. Such a limit would abolish the seniority system in Congress. Disposing of the seniority system would diminish the contentious rivalry between political parties and improve the governing process.

Use your vote, as the Constitution intended, to restore your inalienable rights. Vote for individuals, who will represent you. Incumbents don’t represent you they represent themselves. A steady vote against the incumbent will convince the incoming legislators that they are in office for one term so that they will act as true public servants.
